Examen civique · general information (official)

The exam is taken on a tablet or computer, in French. Each question has four options and one correct answer. It covers five themes: principles and values of the Republic, the institutional and political system, rights and duties, history/geography/culture, and living in French society. It concerns adults who sign the integration contract and apply for a first carte de séjour pluriannuelle (multi-year card) or carte de résident (resident card). Two approved bodies run it: the CCI Paris Île-de-France (CCIP) and France Éducation international (FEI). The page stresses that official preparation resources are free and warns against paid sites that claim government approval. This is an external link; the publisher's terms of use apply.
