Listening exam: what to do in the 10 seconds before the audio 🎧

1. Read the question and all answer options. 2. Predict: what kind of information? (a time, a place, a reason, an opinion) 3. Listen for signal words: maar, toch, eigenlijk, dus, want — the answer often comes right after them. 4. Watch out for traps: the first thing you hear is often not the final answer ("Eerst wilde ik op dinsdag, maar …"). Tip: practise with natural speed, not only slow learner audio.
