Staatsexamen day: what to bring, what stays in the locker 🎒
Learners who took the Staatsexamen Nt2 often say the exam itself was fine, but the day was more tiring and more formal than they expected. Here is a combined checklist, checked against staatsexamensnt2.nl. Bring: · a valid photo ID and your invitation letter (oproepbrief). You show your ID at every exam. · for Lezen and Schrijven only: the Van Dale Pocketwoordenboek Nederlands als tweede taal (NT2). No other dictionary, no electronic tools. · water in a bottle with a cap (it goes on the floor), and your own food if you need it. Leave in the locker: · your phone and other devices, including your watch, switched off. Good to know: · Be on time. If you are late, you are not allowed into the exam room. · Pens and scrap paper are provided, and you hand everything in afterwards, including the scrap paper. · No dictionary at all for Luisteren and Spreken. Learner tips on top of the rules: · Several people found the headphones heavy after a long listening exam; take a short stretch before you start. · Plan nothing demanding for the evening. Many describe feeling exhausted after a full exam day. · Read your letter carefully for the arrival time; it can be earlier than the start time.
