The Grundgesetz is the core of the LiD test. bpb explains it in simple German in two booklets: “Die Grundrechte” (human dignity, freedom of religion and opinion, asylum, petitions…) and “Über den Staat” (Bundestag, Bundesrat, President, government, Constitutional Court, federalism). Each is available as web text, PDF and audiobook; printed copies can be ordered free of charge. We also indexed the overview of all einfach POLITIK booklets. Free, in German.
