Constitutional organs (Verfassungsorgane) are the highest bodies named in the Grundgesetz (Basic Law): Bundestag, Bundesrat, Bundespräsident, the federal government, the Federal Constitutional Court and the Bundesversammlung. A Bürgerversammlung (citizens' meeting) is a local event and not a constitutional organ.
