DELE A1 oral: prepare the 10 minutes, not a speech 🗣️
The A1 speaking test has three tasks: a short presentation of yourself, a short talk about a topic, and a conversation with the examiner. You get 10 minutes to prepare and about 10 minutes with the examiner. A simple practice routine for three weeks: 1. Week 1: write 8 to 10 sentences about yourself. Read them aloud until you no longer need the paper. 2. Week 2: pick everyday topics (my home, my neighbourhood, my weekend, food I like, my job). For each, prepare 5 sentences with simple connectors: y, pero, porque, también. 3. Week 3: ask a friend to ask you random questions: ¿Dónde vives? ¿Qué haces los fines de semana? Answer in full sentences. During the test: · If you do not understand, ask: ¿Puede repetir, por favor? This is normal and polite. · Use the preparation time to write keywords, not full texts. · Speak slowly. Clarity counts more than speed at A1. Remember that the oral test can be on a different day from the written part. Sources: https://examenes.cervantes.es/es/dele/examenes/a1
