An 8-week plan for the DELE A2 📅
Many people prepare the DELE A2 next to a full-time job. A plan with small daily steps works better than long weekend sessions. Weeks 1–2: vocabulary for daily life in Spain: shopping, health centre, transport, housing, work, free time. 15 new words a day, reviewed the next morning. Weeks 3–4: reading and listening. One short text and one audio per day (announcements, dialogues, simple news). Always answer questions with a timer. Weeks 5–6: writing. Two short texts a week: an email to a friend, a message to a neighbour, a short description of an experience. Check past tenses (pretérito indefinido and imperfecto). Week 7: speaking. Record yourself describing a photo and talking about your routine for two minutes. Week 8: two full timed mock exams, using the official model exams on the Instituto Cervantes site to learn the format. Tip: keep an error notebook. Most A2 candidates lose points on the same few mistakes: ser/estar, gender of nouns and past tenses. Sources: https://examenes.cervantes.es/es/dele/examenes/a2
