DELE B1 speaking: use your 15 minutes well 🎙️
The B1 oral has 4 tasks and lasts 15 minutes, with 15 minutes of preparation before you enter. How to use the preparation time: · Write keywords and connectors, not full sentences. You must speak, not read. · For a monologue, use a simple plan: introduction, two or three points with an example, short conclusion. · Prepare two or three questions you might get after your monologue. Connectors that make you sound like a B1 speaker: · Para empezar… / Por un lado… por otro lado… · Por ejemplo… / En mi caso… · Sin embargo… / Aunque… · En resumen… / Para terminar… Practice routine: twice a week, choose a photo or a daily-life topic, prepare for 5 minutes, then speak for 3 minutes while recording. Listen back and note one thing to improve each time. If you lose your idea, say so naturally: Perdón, voy a reformular. Examiners appreciate strategies to keep communicating.
