A long exam day: managing energy at B2 ⚡
The three written tests of the B2 take more than three hours in total (70 + 40 + 80 minutes), with the oral on the same day or on the day before or after. Energy management matters. What experienced candidates recommend: · Sleep well the two nights before, not just the last one. · Bring water and a small snack for the breaks, if your centre allows it. · Do not discuss answers during the breaks. It only creates stress. · Start the reading test with the task you find easiest to build confidence, if the format allows it, but watch the clock. · For listening, use the time before each audio to underline keywords in the questions. Bring the documents the Instituto Cervantes asks for: your registration receipt, the original ID or passport you used when registering, and the official convocatoria from your centre with the place and time. After the exam, rest. Results come roughly two to three months later.
