SIELE: an online exam with a score, not pass/fail 💻
SIELE is promoted by the Instituto Cervantes, UNAM (Mexico), the University of Salamanca and the University of Buenos Aires. It works very differently from the DELE. SIELE Global has four sections, each scored out of 250 points (1,000 in total): · Reading: 60 minutes, 38 questions · Listening: 55 minutes, 38 questions · Writing: 50 minutes, 2 tasks · Speaking: 15 minutes, 5 tasks Key differences with the DELE: · You get a score and a level from A1 to C1 per skill, instead of APTO / NO APTO for one level. · There are no fixed dates: you choose the day, time, centre and modality. · The certificate is valid for five years (the DELE has no expiry). · Results arrive within a maximum of three weeks. There are also partial modalities (S1 to S5) that combine only some skills. These give a SIELE report rather than the full certificate.
