Result below the level you need? What to do next đ
A result lower than you hoped is frustrating, especially with a card or a nationality file waiting. People who retook their test successfully usually did three things. 1. Read the detail. TCF and TEF give a level per skill, the DELF a score per part. Find exactly which part pulled you down. 2. Change the method, not only the amount of work. More multiple-choice mocks rarely fix weak writing or speaking; corrected practice does. 3. Plan the retake date around your deadline, not around your mood. For the examen civique: you can retake it as often as needed. Look at which themes you were unsure about and restudy those fiches. Keep in mind: · TCF and TEF results are valid for 2 years; the DELF and the civic exam attestation have no expiry. · If your card expires while you prepare, the préfecture's rules on renewal apply; check your situation early rather than late. And remember that many people need two attempts. It is part of the process, not a judgement on you.
