DELF A1 oral: short, friendly and very predictable 🙂
Teachers describe the A1 oral as short, with a predictable pattern: a guided conversation about you, an exchange where you ask questions from word cards, and a small role play (buying, ordering, asking for a price). Tips from teachers and past candidates: · Know the questions you will hear about yourself: name, age, country, city, work or studies, family, hobbies. Have one full sentence ready for each. · For the question cards: turn the word into a real question. 'Travail?' becomes 'Quel est votre travail ?' or 'Vous travaillez où ?'. · In the role play, use the objects or pictures you are given. Ask the price, say how many, pay, say thank you. · Politeness counts: bonjour, s'il vous plaît, merci, au revoir. · If you don't understand, say 'Pardon, vous pouvez répéter ?'. It is normal and allowed. Practise with a partner who plays the seller, then swap roles. Five role plays with different objects are enough to feel confident.
