DELF A2 writing: two short texts, stay simple and complete ✉️
In the DELF A2 written production, candidates usually write two short texts: one where you describe or tell something (an event, an experience) and one practical message (inviting, thanking, apologising, answering an invitation). What examiners reward at A2: · You did what the task asked. If the instruction says 'accept, give the date and ask what to bring', all three must be there. · You respect the length asked. · Simple but clear sentences with passé composé for past events. · Opening and closing formulas: Salut / Bonjour, Bises / À bientôt, Cordialement. Common learner mistakes: · Writing one long block with no greeting or signature. · Mixing tu and vous in the same message. · Forgetting être verbs in the passé composé (je suis allé, elle est venue). Practice: collect 10 typical situations (birthday, moving house, holiday, cancelled appointment) and write one message per day. Keep a list of your repeated mistakes and read it before the exam.
