A taalmaatje is a volunteer who meets you, usually once a week, just to talk Dutch. Where to ask: · your municipality or integration counsellor · the library (Taalhuis) · local volunteer organisations and churches, mosques, community centres Make it work: agree on one topic per meeting, ask them to correct only 2–3 important mistakes, and write down new words together.
