How do I register for the DELF, TCF, TEF or the examen civique?
How registration works for each French exam: exam centre, dates and what to bring.
A1 · DELF A1 tout public
No national DELF dates in France: each exam centre (universities, Alliances françaises…) sets its sessions and registration periods. Example Université de Limoges: December 2026 session, written 2026-12-01 to 03, registration 2026-10-05 to 10-28.

TCF · Test de connaissance du français (TCF IRN)
No national TCF dates: each TCF centre sets its own sessions. Example: Alliance Française Toulouse, Fridays 13:45–17:00.
TEF · Test d’évaluation de français (TEF IRN)
No national TEF dates: register directly with a TEF centre; the centre contacts you to finish registration and payment.
Civique · Examen civique (civic exam)
No national dates: book a session at an approved centre of CCI Paris Île-de-France or France Éducation international, choosing the mention CSP, CR or naturalisation.
Naturalisation · French nationality by decree
No exam dates: apply online via ANEF (or on paper) once you have your B2 proof and civic-exam pass. Requirements include 5 years of residence (with exceptions).
